Marigold's Teddy Traditional Mohair Heirloom Teddy Bear Kit. A jointed teddy bear kit suitable for a beginner by Make A Teddy to make a 10 inch (25 cm) teddy bear.
This pattern was used for Marigold’s teddy that we made for the Downton Abbey TV programme and uses very similar mohair to the bear we made for the programme. It was a great thrill to be asked to make a teddy for such a prestigious programme and then to see our little bear on TV.
We have created this kit with everything you need apart from scissors and a few things you will have at home. The instructions are thorough but we are on hand for extra support by phone. Marigold's Teddy has beautiful German mohair and German wool felt pads and genuine Victorian boot button eyes. He has polyester stuffing and some plastic pellets to add weight and a little squidgyness. Barbara has drawn out the pattern on the mohair but the paper pattern included is reusable. . This kit is nicely boxed ready for Christmas or a Birthday and we can put in one of our own gift tags and a Christmas or Birthday card from our own drawings for free if you ask us to.
