Raffles Mohair Teddy Bear Kit. A jointed teddy bear kit by Make A Teddy to make a 7 inch/18 cm teddy bear.
We have created this kit with everything you need apart from scissors and a few things you will have at home. The instructions are thorough but we are on hand for extra support by phone. The Raffles kit has lovely gold German mohair, making it a bit more interesting, more like a proper artist teddy bear. We have drawn the pattern out on the mohair so you don't have to worry about not having enough or fitting it on. He has polyester stuffing and some plastic pellets to add weight and a little squidgyness. This kit is nicely boxed so you can give it as a gift, and we can put in one of our own gift tags and a Birthday card or Christmas card from our own drawings for free if you ask us to.
The Raffles kit is not suitable for beginners, his centre seam, cotter pin joints mean he should only be made by someone with experience of making teddy bears.
Raffles is a sweet little bear in beautiful antique gold mohair, he's quite bear like the original old fashioned teddy bears in his shape.
Please note that because of the materials used and the risk of choking, teddy bears made from our kits should not be given to children under 14, this kit makes an adult collectible (ornament) and should not be used to make a child's toy.

Reusable Raffles Pattern and Instructions
Warm gold mohair with pattern drawn out
Double layer wool felt with paw pads drawn out and sewn
1 pair of 5mm black glass eyes
DMC perle thread for the nose and mouth
Needle for sewing the nose and mouth and for inserting eyes
5 x 18 mm plastic cotter pin joints (that make limbs move)
110g uncarded polyester stuffing
80g glass beads
Extra strong thread for closing the seams
You need
Card to make copy of pattern (e.g.. cereal packet)
Scissors for cutting card and felt
Sharp pair of needlework scissors
Sewing needle
Sewing thread to match fabric for hand or machine sewing
Stuffing sticks (e.g.. wooden spoon handle, chopstick)
