Kingsley 11.5 inch Traditional Crushed Velvet Teddy Bear Kit by Make A Teddy

Regular price £38.00

Kingsley Traditional Crushed Velvet Heirloom Teddy Bear Kit. A jointed teddy bear kit by Make A Teddy to make a 11.5 inch (29 cm) teddy bear.

Kingsley is a classical traditional teddy bear. He is designed to be made and saved and passed down the generations, and as you will have made him yourself he'll be extra special. We always used crushed velvet when we were working on new patterns, it works in a similar way to mohair, it isn't stretchy like faux fur and some other fabrics, it's a bit cheaper than mohair so it's an ideal place to start as an introduction to bear making. The fabric starts off quite shiny but over time it settles down to a lovely matt finish.

We have created this kit with everything you need including clear instructions with diagrams, the fabric, stuffing and pellets etc., you just need scissors and a few things you will have at home.

The instructions are thorough but we are on hand for extra support by phone. Kingsley is made from beautiful vintage gold crushed velvet, the paw pads are made from the reverse side of the velvet and he has boot button eyes.

Barbara has drawn out the pattern on the mohair but the paper pattern included is reusable.

This kit is nicely packaged ready for Birthdays or Christmas and we can put in one of our own gift tags and a Birthday or Christmas card from our own drawings for free if you ask us to.

Please note that because of the materials used and the risk of choking, teddy bears made from our kits should not be given to children under 14.
